What’s New @ Home? Retro, Metal + Cluster Island Lights

In the last 20 years, the remodel industry has boomed especially focusing on kitchens. The number one request in kitchen improvements is the addition of an island. The family unit is more casual and always on the go, so the versatility of the island is enormously helpful. Above the island, what do you notice? The jewelry or eye-candy of the kitchen – the island lights.

Where the islands have not changed too much in shapes and materials, the island lights have moved away from the mini contemporary single pendant light. Long gone are the bright blue, red or green glass teardrop shades. Nowadays it’s about a retro, metal and clusters. Take a fresh look of the wide, whimsical variety of lights that are available to decorate your island and kitchen with. What’s interesting with these new styles is the ability to incorporate into a wide variety of design styles from classic, modern, transitional and eclectic.
